We have several of these to work on due to a Carlyle issue. The lower compressor can be removed in the typical fashion, similar to your method, by sliding it directly onto my homemade unistrut platform that has sheet metal secured on the top of it. With the come-a-long at the center of that point, I slightly lift the top compressor out, then lower it onto a homemade unistrut platform that I place over the refrigerant piping. What I've been doing is securing two 12 foot lengths of double unistrut across the top of the units, and hooking a come-a-long from another piece of strut that spans across the the top of those two pieces. The piping for refrigerant, condensate, & electrical is in the way of placing a high jack or a tablelift in front of the compressors. The air discharges underneath the unit through a plenum and under the wall into the data room for underfloor air distribution. These units are not sitting on a data room floor like we typically find, but instead are in small rooms just outside the actual data room, sitting on the typical Liebert stands, so the units are about a foot and a half above the concrete floor in the rooms where they're located.
